Natera's own clinician page (read 4 November 2026) describes five panel options across 12 or more hereditary cancer types (one passage says up to 85 genes, another up to 81), from BRCA1 and BRCA2 alone to a multi-cancer panel, and a customisable panel drawn from more than 190 genes, plus a rapid breast panel for surgical decisions. Where a splice-site variant of uncertain significance is found, RNA analysis is performed if criteria are met, across 54 high and moderate penetrance genes. The site states that the tests were developed and validated by the CLIA-certified laboratory performing them and 'have not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration'. Natera links it to Signatera users through a Hereditary Cancer Alert Program. Empower is not registered in the NIH Genetic Testing Registry under that name.
