Nelitolimod is an experimental immune-stimulating drug from TriSalus Life Sciences, in phase 1 trials for locally advanced pancreatic cancer and cancers in the liver.
Nelitolimod (SD-101) is a tLR9 agonist (immunotherapy), given through the company's pressure-enabled drug delivery devices from TriSalus Life Sciences. Switches on toll-like receptor 9; the company says it acts on suppressive myeloid cells and antigen-presenting cells to reverse immune suppression in the liver and pancreas so that checkpoint inhibitors can work. TriSalus acquired it in 2020. Its studies were in locally advanced pancreatic cancer (NCT05607953), hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (NCT05220722, terminated) and uveal melanoma that has spread to the liver (NCT04935229, terminated). OnCo has no TLR9 target record. Whether it works in people has not been established.
