Overview
A Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo was founded in 1859 by the Portuguese community and has grown into one of Latin America's largest hospital complexes, serving both private and public health system patients. Its oncology programme brings together medical oncology, haematology and bone marrow transplantation, radiotherapy, surgical oncology and nuclear medicine, and its research institute (IEP-BP) runs clinical trials across oncology and cardiology. BP is a frequent Brazilian site for international phase 3 oncology trials and hosts a large oncology residency programme.
