South Africa's national cancer charity since 1931: screening and care at CANSA Care Centres, lodging in CANSA Care Homes for out-of-town patients, free tele-counselling and research funding.
CANSA is a non-profit that has worked against cancer in South Africa since 1931; it enables research, educates the public, and advocates for and supports people affected by cancer. Its site lists screening at CANSA Care Centres, CANSA Care Homes, tele and virtual counselling, and research funding and grants. Its UICC profile adds that Care Centres offer screening and early detection, stoma and other clinical support, home-based care and medical equipment hire, and that seven Care Homes in large cities house cancer patients from out of town, with CANSA-TLC lodging for parents of children in treatment. The head office is in Bedfordview, Gauteng. UICC lists it as a Full Member.
