A US patient advocacy organisation, founded as the Mycosis Fungoides Foundation, that gives education and support to people with cutaneous lymphoma, including mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome, and promotes research.
The Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation grew out of an online support group for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma started by Judy Jones in 1996 and a memorial fund created by Judith Shea after her husband died of Sézary syndrome, according to its history page; at the suggestion of the dermatologist Stuart Lessin they founded the Mycosis Fungoides Foundation, which became the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation in 2005. Its about page describes it as an independent 501(c)(3) patient advocacy organisation that aims to empower people with cutaneous lymphoma and their care partners through education and support, and to promote research on the most critical unmet needs. Its site explains the main types, from mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome to primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas and lymphomatoid papulosis. The IRS records it in Warren, Michigan, with tax exemption issued in April 1999.
