Peking University People's Hospital
Peking University People's Hospital is the world's largest haploidentical stem cell transplant centre and the home of the Beijing Protocol that lets almost any patient find a donor.
Overview
Its Institute of Hematology, led by Huang Xiaojun, developed the Beijing Protocol for haploidentical transplantation without in vitro T-cell depletion (Bone Marrow Transplantation 2006), now the dominant transplant approach in China and adopted widely elsewhere; it performs more than a thousand transplants a year. Also a major site for CAR-T, leukaemia and lymphoma trials and the hospital's Breast Center and hepatobiliary units.
