Ghana's society for professionals who care for the emotional needs of people with cancer and their carers, and for raising public awareness of cancer.
The Psycho-oncology Society of Ghana states on its IPOS country page that it is committed to improving the quality of life of patients and caregivers and serves to share information about psycho-oncology with professionals and the public, promote meetings, workshops and research, and raise awareness of cancer. The page gives 2019 as the year it was founded and joined IPOS; half its members are psychologists, with students, oncologists, nurses, psychiatrists and others.
