Australia's national blood stem cell donor registry, formerly called Strength to Give and the ABMDR. It recruits donors and links Australian patients with donors overseas, and overseas patients with Australian donors.
Stem Cell Donors Australia, formerly known as Strength to Give and ABMDR, manages Australia's blood stem cell donor registry. It recruits volunteer donors across Australia, aiming for a registry that reflects the population's diversity, manages donors' data, partners with registries abroad in both directions, and supports a matched donor through further testing to delivery of the cells. As a WMDA member it follows international standards for donor care and product quality, and it says that many communities are under-represented on the registry, which makes a match harder for some patients.
