Tennessee Oncology / Greco-Hainsworth Centers for Research
Large community oncology practice in Nashville, the founding clinical partner of Sarah Cannon Research Institute, whose myeloma research under Jesús Berdeja led early CAR-T trials.
Overview
Tennessee Oncology is one of the largest independent community oncology practices in the United States, with clinics across Middle Tennessee. It founded the Sarah Cannon Research Institute with HCA Healthcare in the 1990s, and its Greco-Hainsworth Centers for Research, named for the founders of that model, continue to run trials in the practice. Jesús Berdeja, its director of myeloma research, was a lead investigator of CARTITUDE-1, the trial that established ciltacabtagene autoleucel in relapsed multiple myeloma.
