Overview
Jesús Berdeja (Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville) was principal investigator and first author of CARTITUDE-1, the pivotal trial showing the BCMA CAR-T ciltacabtagene autoleucel produces responses in 98% of heavily pretreated myeloma patients with median progression-free survival near three years, the deepest responses seen in relapsed myeloma. He runs a large community-based early-phase programme.
