Overview
Cartesian Therapeutics, based in Frederick, Maryland, engineers T cells with mRNA-encoded chimeric antigen receptors, giving a transient product that can be dosed repeatedly without lymphodepletion. Its BCMA-directed Descartes-08 was first tested in multiple myeloma before the company focused on myasthenia gravis and other autoimmune diseases, where it leads phase 3 trials. Its myeloma trials remain on ClinicalTrials.gov under Cartesian as lead sponsor.
