Agennix
Agennix was a German-American biotech whose oral talactoferrin, a recombinant form of the milk protein lactoferrin, failed a phase 3 trial in non-small cell lung cancer.
Overview
Agennix, founded in 1993 with operations in Princeton, New Jersey and Munich, developed talactoferrin alfa, a recombinant human lactoferrin taken by mouth as an immunotherapy. The phase 3 FORTIS-M trial in previously treated non-small cell lung cancer did not improve survival, and the company ceased operations. Its trials remain on ClinicalTrials.gov under Agennix as lead sponsor.
