Nikhil C. Munshi
Led KarMMa, which brought idecabtagene vicleucel, the first CAR-T for myeloma, to approval.
Overview
Nikhil Munshi was principal investigator of KarMMa, the pivotal trial showing the BCMA-directed CAR-T idecabtagene vicleucel produces responses in nearly three-quarters of heavily pretreated myeloma patients, leading to the first CAR-T approval in the disease, and of KarMMa-3 comparing it with standard regimens. His laboratory studies myeloma genomics and he led the meta-analysis establishing MRD negativity as a surrogate for survival.
