A patient-led network of young people affected by cancer in more than 40 countries, registered in Romania, which campaigns for their voice in European cancer policy.
Youth Cancer Europe was created by Shajjad and Katie Rizvi, founders of the Little People cancer charity in Romania, with Šarūnas Narbutas, a cancer survivor and president of the Lithuanian Cancer Society, according to its about page. The foundation was legally founded by Asociația Little People Romania and has its seat in Cluj-Napoca. It describes itself as a patient-led movement connecting young people affected by cancer across more than 40 countries, and leads YARN, an EU-funded project with a Youth Cancer Council of 100 young people with lived experience of cancer.
