A Zambian charity founded in 2009 so that no one faces cancer alone: awareness and screening events, counselling and help finding a way through the health system.
The Zambian Cancer Society is a non-profit organisation founded in 2009 that supports anyone affected by cancer, whatever their age, gender or type of cancer. Its work covers awareness campaigns, community outreach and media work against myths about cancer; screening events and health talks that encourage early detection; and support for patients, survivors and families, from emotional support and counselling to practical help navigating the health system. Its UICC profile adds financial assistance, weekly hospital visits, food, toiletries and clothing. UICC lists it as a Full Member.
