Overview
Cancer Science, formerly the Japanese Journal of Cancer Research, is the monthly journal of the Japanese Cancer Association, published by Wiley. Its overview page traces the journal to 1907; NLM dates the present title to 2003, with print ceasing after volume 102 in 2011. It publishes original articles, editorials, letters, review articles and reports in basic, translational and clinical cancer research, in categories including immunology, carcinogenesis, cell and stem cell biology, clinical research, drug discovery, epidemiology and prevention, genetics and genomics, inflammation and virology, and pathology, and aims for findings with significant clinical impact. Since 2017 it does not accept work funded by the tobacco industry. DOAJ records it as fully open access since 2014 under CC BY, CC BY-NC and CC BY-NC-ND licences with an article processing charge and anonymous peer review. Indexed in MEDLINE and deposited in PubMed Central.
