Cellular oncology
Cellular Oncology is an online-only, open access Springer journal for basic and translational cancer research at the level of the cell and the tissue. Its readers are molecular biologists, geneticists, pathologists and oncologists working on how cell biology translates into the clinic.
Overview
Cellular Oncology publishes research from biomedical and clinical disciplines involved in basic and translational cancer research on the cell and tissue level, and describes itself as a platform for molecular biologists and geneticists, technical developers, pathologists, medical oncologists and other clinicians managing cancer patients, with a focus on converting cell biology into clinical applications. The homepage lists an open access publishing model and recent article types include research papers and reviews, with topical collections on the tumour microenvironment, immunotherapy signalling and cell death mechanisms. NLM records it as a bimonthly title that began in 2011 as the continuation in part of Analytical Cellular Pathology, published in Dordrecht by Springer, indexed in MEDLINE and PubMed with content in PMC. The journal is online only and its print ISSN has ceased. Crossref lists IOS Press as the publisher of record for the ISSN, reflecting its earlier publisher.
