JMIR cancer
An open access journal about technology, apps, online tools and patient-centred innovation in cancer care and survivorship. Read by digital-health researchers, oncology clinicians and patient advocates.
Overview
JMIR Cancer is published by JMIR Publications in Canada and is a companion journal to the Journal of Medical Internet Research. Its own description calls it a peer-reviewed journal focusing on education, innovation and technology in cancer care, cancer survivorship and cancer research, and on participatory and patient-centred approaches, including research on non-Internet approaches to improving cancer care. It invites original research, viewpoints, reviews, tutorials, case studies and non-conventional articles such as open patient education material and software resources; a Patients' Corner section carries no article processing fee. The Directory of Open Access Journals lists it as fully open access since 2015 under a CC BY licence, with anonymous peer review and an article processing charge. NLM catalogues it from 2015.
