Overview
Johanna Mattson is Senior Medical Director, Director of Division and Associate Professor at the HUS Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Helsinki University Hospital and described by HUS as Finland's largest and most versatile cancer treatment centre. The centre was the first Nordic and second European cancer centre to receive OECI Comprehensive Cancer Center accreditation in 2014, is a member of the EURACAN rare adult solid cancer network and received Magnet recognition for nursing in 2024. It provides radiotherapy, chemotherapy, haematological disease treatment, breast surgery and palliative care for the Uusimaa region. She leads it alongside research director Peeter Karihtala and chief nursing officer Vuokko Kolhonen.
