David Fennelly

Dr David Fennelly is Clinical Director for Cancer Services at St Vincent's University Hospital (SVUH) and St Vincent's UCD Cancer Centre in Dublin, and HSE Cancer Lead for the Dublin and South East health region. The hospital describes him as having nearly 30 years of experience in medical oncology, and in July 2026 he set out a vision for a nationally coordinated cancer network to an Oireachtas committee shaping Ireland's next National Cancer Strategy. On 24 June 2026 St Vincent's UCD Cancer Centre was designated an OECI Cancer Centre by the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes; the hospital describes the centre as Ireland's largest cancer care provider with six national specialty designations, and its Chief Executive Officer is Pauline McGrath.
