Supportive Care in Cancer is the MASCC journal on managing symptoms and side effects across the cancer journey. It is read by oncologists, nurses, palliative care teams and researchers.
Overview
Supportive Care in Cancer is the official journal of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), published by Springer (Crossref: Springer-Verlag). Its aims and scope page says it provides MASCC members and others with the most recent scientific and social information on all aspects of supportive care, covering the physical, psychosocial and spiritual aspects of the patient journey from diagnosis to end-of-life care, with a focus on interventions to mitigate symptoms and side effects. It publishes original research, reviews and clinical guidance; it does not normally accept unmet-needs papers, pilot or feasibility studies, instrument development studies or case studies. The journal began in January 1993 and, per the NLM Catalog, has appeared twelve times a year since 2003. Springer lists the publishing model as hybrid.
