Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer
The international society for supportive care in cancer, whose antiemetic, mucositis, febrile neutropenia and immunotherapy toxicity guidelines are used worldwide.
Founded in 1990, MASCC is a multidisciplinary organisation of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other professionals dedicated to preventing and managing the side effects of cancer and its treatment. Its MASCC/ESMO antiemetic guidelines, the MASCC risk index for febrile neutropenia, mucositis guidelines with ISOO, and guidance on bone health, skin toxicity, cancer-related fatigue, immunotherapy toxicities and survivorship are widely adopted, and it publishes Supportive Care in Cancer. The MASCC annual meeting brings together supportive care researchers with the palliative care and oncology societies, and its study groups cover nutrition and cachexia, geriatrics, psychosocial care, oral care, neurological complications and palliative care.
