The Multicenter International Study of Oxaliplatin, Fluorouracil and Leucovorin in the Adjuvant Treatment of Colon Cancer randomly assigned 2,246 patients who had undergone curative resection for stage II or III colon cancer to fluorouracil and leucovorin alone or with oxaliplatin for six months, with disease-free survival as the primary end point; 1,123 patients were assigned to each group.
