Anthony May OBE DL is Chief Executive of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, the trust that runs Queen's Medical Centre, City Hospital (home of the Nottingham cancer centre), Ropewalk House and the National Rehabilitation Centre. He joined the trust as Chief Executive on 1 September 2022. He was previously Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire County Council from April 2015 to August 2022, responsible for a budget of about 1.1 billion pounds and around 18,000 staff, chaired the Midlands Engine Operating Board for five years and led the Association of County Council Chief Executives for more than two years.
