Professor Brahim Lakhal is Directeur Général of the Groupement Sanitaire Territorial (GST) de la région Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the territorial health group that succeeded the CHU Ibn Sina and manages the region's hospital establishments, including the Institut National d'Oncologie Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, the Hôpital Ibn Sina and the Hôpital des Spécialités in Rabat. The GST website reports that he was appointed by King Mohammed VI by royal decree dated 9 April 2026, on the proposal of the Head of Government and the initiative of the Minister of Health, with the announcement published on 9 September 2026.
