Overview
Jonathan Spicer led the surgical analyses of CheckMate 816, demonstrating that neoadjuvant nivolumab plus chemotherapy did not delay or complicate surgery and increased the rate of complete resection, which removed a key objection to neoadjuvant immunotherapy. He co-authored the five-year update and leads perioperative surgical research at McGill.
