Overview
Josep Maria Llovet leads the Translational Research in Hepatic Oncology group at IDIBAPS, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and also holds a position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is among the most cited researchers in hepatocellular carcinoma, having led landmark systemic therapy trials and molecular classification studies. He co-authored the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system widely used in clinical practice.
