Overview
Professor Paul Herijgers is Chief Executive Officer of UZ Leuven, the university hospital of KU Leuven and one of the largest hospitals in Belgium. He took over from Wim Robberecht on 1 August 2024 and chairs a management committee that includes Medical Director Gert Van Assche and Dean of Medicine Chris Verslype. UZ Leuven's Leuven Cancer Institute (LKI) unites physicians, nurses, basic scientists and clinical researchers in cancer care and research and includes the hospital's proton therapy centre.
