Former Swedbank chief executive who chairs the Executive Board of Tartu University Hospital, Estonia's largest teaching hospital.
Overview
Priit Perens is Chairman of the Executive Board of Tartu University Hospital (Tartu Ülikooli Kliinikum), the University of Tartu's teaching hospital with about 965 beds and roots going back to 1804. He holds a degree in economic cybernetics from the University of Tartu and has an extensive banking background, including serving as CEO of Swedbank AS from 2008 to 2014. He leads a board that includes Chief Medical Officer Dr Liis Salumäe, Head of Nursing and Patient Experience Saima Hinno and Head of Research and Development Professor Joel Starkopf.
