A volunteer network of melanoma patients and advocates in Europe, founded in 2013, that works on access to prevention, early detection and effective treatment.
Melanoma Patient Network Europe continues the work of m-icab, the Melanoma Independent Community Advisory Board, founded in 2010 by Patricia Garcia-Prieto and Quentin van Daele, both patients with metastatic melanoma, according to its history page. Bettina Ryll took over its leadership after Garcia-Prieto's death in 2013 and founded MPNE that year to cover broader advocacy. It says it has no office and splits its work among volunteers. Its legal body, MPNEsupport, is a non-profit registered in Sweden (organisational number 168024921069).
