Altis Labs makes software that reads the CT scans taken during cancer drug trials and predicts how long patients are likely to live, so that drug makers can tell sooner whether a new treatment is working.
Altis Labs, based in Toronto, calls itself an AI endpoint company. Its model IPRO (imaging-based prognostication) generates survival predictions and spatial imaging biomarkers from routine radiology scans; trial imaging is uploaded to its web platform, Nota, for indexing and analysis. The company says IPRO was trained on a multimodal oncology database of imaging, molecular, clinical and outcome data covering over 500,000 patient-years, built with cancer centres. Its published and presented work covers advanced non-small-cell lung cancer, metastatic colorectal cancer and breast cancer, including a Johnson & Johnson post-hoc analysis of the phase 3 MARIPOSA trial presented at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer, which the company says detected a treatment effect before the trial's PFS and overall survival readouts. It announced a collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in June 2025. Financing: a $6 million seed round in June 2023 co-led by Benchstrength and Debiopharm Innovation Fund, and a $25 million Series A in September 2026 co-led by OrbiMed and Qiming Venture Partners USA.
