Aptose is a San Diego and Toronto company developing tuspetinib, an oral kinase inhibitor acting on FLT3, SYK, JAK and other targets, for acute myeloid leukaemia in combination with venetoclax and azacitidine.
Overview
Aptose Biosciences, listed on Nasdaq and the Toronto exchange, develops kinase inhibitors for blood cancers. Its lead, tuspetinib (HM43239), licensed from Hanmi, inhibits FLT3, SYK, JAK1/2 and other kinases and is being combined with venetoclax and azacitidine in newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia after single-agent responses in relapsed disease; an earlier candidate, luxeptinib, was deprioritised. It appears on OnCo as a lead sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
