Array BioPharma, of Boulder, Colorado, developed encorafenib and binimetinib, two pills taken together for melanoma with a BRAF mutation. Pfizer bought the company in 2019.
Array BioPharma Inc. (formerly Nasdaq: ARRY) was a commercial-stage company in Boulder, Colorado, that discovered and developed targeted small-molecule medicines. At the time of its sale its main products were BRAFTOVI (encorafenib) and MEKTOVI (binimetinib), approved together for unresectable or metastatic melanoma with a BRAF V600E or V600K mutation and being tested in more than 30 trials, including the phase 3 BEACON trial in BRAF-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer. Pfizer agreed on 17 June 2019 to buy Array for USD 48 per share in cash, a total enterprise value of about USD 11.4 billion, through a tender offer, and the merger was completed on 30 July 2019.
