Brenus Pharma makes an off-the-shelf immunotherapy from inactivated, specially prepared cancer cells, designed to teach the immune system to recognise bowel cancer that has spread.
Brenus Pharma, with offices in Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon, France, develops off-the-shelf in vivo immunotherapies from banked cancer cell lines that are stimulated to display cancer-associated proteins, tagged with a hapten and inactivated before being given to patients. Its lead candidate STC-1010 is in a first-in-human phase 1/2 trial (BreAK-CRC001) in unresectable locally advanced or metastatic microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer (NCT06934538); the first patients were dosed in September 2025 and the FDA accepted an IND in May 2026. In July 2026 it announced an EUR 11 million (USD 12.6 million) Series A extension, bringing total capital raised since inception to EUR 38 million (USD 43.5 million). Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06934538, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in April 2025.
