Chiome Bioscience is a Japanese company that makes antibody medicines; its two clinical programmes target proteins on liver cancer and other solid tumours.
Chiome Bioscience Inc. (4583.T) is a Tokyo company founded in 2005, according to the company, to commercialise the ADLib system, a monoclonal antibody generation technology developed with RIKEN. Its in-house clinical programmes are CBA-1205, an afucosylated (ADCC-enhanced) humanised antibody against DLK-1 in a first-in-human phase 1 study in advanced solid tumours, hepatocellular carcinoma, melanoma and paediatric cancer (NCT06636435), and CBA-1535, a Tribody T cell engager binding 5T4, CD3 and 5T4 in a first-in-human phase 1 study (NCT07016997). ADCT-701, an antibody-drug conjugate built on its LIV-1205 anti-DLK-1 antibody, is being studied by the US National Cancer Institute. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06636435, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in October 2024, although the registry gives a study start date of June 2020, so the programme was in the clinic before it was registered there.
