Shine-On Biomedical is a Taiwanese company developing an antibody made from small nanobody parts that grabs two markers on cancer cells and links them to the immune system's T cells. It is in an early trial in advanced solid tumours; the company also develops targeted exosomes to deliver cancer drugs.
Shine-On Biomedical Co., Ltd., at Taiwan Boulevard, West District, Taichung, was established on 6 April 2021 by Dr Chiu-Chin Huang and listed on the Emerging Stock Market of the Taipei Exchange (code 6926) in November 2022, according to the company. It has two platforms: HLA-G-targeted exosomes for drug delivery (SOB100 to SOB102, including an exosomal doxorubicin) and trispecific T-cell engagers. Its lead clinical candidate SOA101 is a nanobody-based trispecific T-cell engager (Nb-TriTE) that binds the immune checkpoints PD-L1 and HLA-G on tumour cells and engages T cells, aimed at lung, colorectal, breast, head and neck and ovarian cancers; SOA201 is an EphA10-directed trispecific immune cell engager. A phase 1/2 study of SOA101 in advanced solid tumours in Taiwan is registered (NCT07055594). Founded in 2021, according to the company. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07055594, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in July 2025.
