Overview
Shanghai discovery engine with three NMPA-approved originals: fruquintinib (colorectal 2018; FDA approval November 2023 after Takeda licensed ex-China rights for $400 million upfront), surufatinib (neuroendocrine tumours 2020) and savolitinib (MET exon 14 NSCLC 2021, with AstraZeneca). Also sovleplenib (Syk) and tazemetostat rights in China. Its FDA approval of fruquintinib in a global population (FRESCO-2) showed the route Chinese drugs must take: a multiregional confirmatory trial.
