Neuregen Therapeutics is testing an injection for high-grade brain tumours that combines a cancer-killing virus, an immune booster and a technique meant to turn leftover tumour cells into cells that no longer divide.
Neuregen Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (纽伦捷生物), whose Wuhan entity was founded in December 2021 according to the company and whose website gives a Shanghai address, develops therapies based on in vivo cell reprogramming (in situ transdifferentiation), with a pipeline focused on nervous system tumours and blinding eye disease. NRG-103 injection combines a recombinant oncolytic virus, an immune-enhancing cytokine and in situ transdifferentiation of residual tumour cells; the company reports FDA IND clearance and orphan drug designation, and implied IND approval from China's CDE in January 2026. A phase 1 trial is enrolling patients with recurrent or progressive high-grade glioma (NCT07710690). The company announced a Series A in May 2026, led by a Wuhan Optics Valley fund. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07710690, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in July 2026.
