OncoHost
OncoHost sells a blood test that measures hundreds of proteins before treatment starts to predict whether a lung cancer patient will benefit from immunotherapy drugs.
Overview
OncoHost is a precision oncology diagnostics company with operations in Israel and the United States. Its PROphet platform applies proteomic pattern recognition and machine learning to a pre-treatment plasma or serum sample, evaluating tumour and host biology together to produce a personalised score that predicts benefit from PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibitors. The first test, PROphetNSCLC, addresses first-line non-small cell lung cancer and is supported by the prospective PROPHETIC study across more than 40 sites with over 1,700 patients recruited. Recent work includes proteomic ageing biomarkers for immunotherapy response (AACR 2026), serum-plasma proteomic bridging published in 2026 and a partnership with Gustave Roussy (2025). Scientific co-founder Yuval Shaked heads the Technion Integrated Cancer Center. In May 2025 OncoHost and hospital partners won a EUR 2.5 million (about USD 2.8 million) EIC Transition grant; equity rounds could not be sourced.
