PeptiDream is a Japanese company that discovers ring-shaped peptide medicines; it is now testing a radioactive peptide that seeks out kidney cancer cells, paired with a matching scan.
PeptiDream Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime 4587), established in July 2006 according to the company and based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, discovers macrocyclic peptides with its Peptide Discovery Platform System (PDPS) and develops targeted radiotherapeutics and radiodiagnostics, partly through PDRadiopharma and partly with partners including Novartis and RayzeBio. Its in-house PD-32766 is a theranostic pair against carbonic anhydrase IX (CA9): 64Cu-PD-32766 (PD-32766D) for imaging and 225Ac-PD-32766 (PD-32766T) for treatment, in a phase 1a/1b study in relapsed or refractory CA9-expressing clear cell renal cell carcinoma (NCT07688187). Its first registry study under its own name, NCT07518771 (posted April 2026), is a phase 1 study of PA-001 in healthy and elderly volunteers and is not a cancer trial; its first registered cancer trial, NCT07688187, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in July 2026.
