Pillar Biosciences makes sequencing panels for solid tumour tissue, liquid biopsy and blood cancers. Its ONCO/Reveal Dx Lung & Colon Cancer Assay was approved by the FDA in July 2021 as a companion diagnostic for KRAS wild-type colorectal cancer (cetuximab, panitumumab) and for EGFR-mutant lung cancer (approved EGFR inhibitors).
A sequencing test that confirms KRAS is unmutated before cetuximab or panitumumab in bowel cancer, and finds common EGFR mutations in lung cancer.
