SIT Sordina IORT Technologies is an Italian maker of mobile electron accelerators that give radiotherapy in the operating theatre, the LIAC and LIAC HWL, and now also sells the NOVAC 11.
SIT Sordina IORT Technologies of Vicenza makes self-shielded mobile electron linacs for intraoperative radiotherapy. The LIAC was cleared by the FDA in April 2012 (K110840); the LIAC HWL followed in June 2018 (K172961) and LIAC S in 2019 (K182374). The maker describes LIAC HWL as its "latest and most advanced model" with energies of 4 to 10 or 12 MeV, and now lists the NOVAC 11, cleared in 2012 to New Radiant Technology (K112286), which it calls the descendant of NOVAC 7, designed in 1997.
