PRP is a mixture of two inactive digestive enzymes from Propanc Biopharma, intended to slow tumour growth and spread. It is still being prepared for a first trial in people.
PRP is Propanc Biopharma's lead candidate, a formulation of trypsinogen and chymotrypsinogen. The FDA granted it orphan drug designation for the treatment of pancreatic cancer in June 2017. Propanc reports laboratory and dose range-finding studies, a GMP manufacturing process and a bio-analytical assay prepared for a phase 1b first-in-human study in advanced cancer patients, which had not begun when the October 2026 registration statement was filed.
A combination of the pancreatic proenzymes trypsinogen and chymotrypsinogen, the inactive precursors of digestive enzymes, which Propanc Biopharma says produces multiple effects on cancer cells intended to inhibit tumour growth and spread.
