A UK charity for everyone affected by a brain tumour: it funds research, sends a free information pack to the newly diagnosed and campaigns for better care.
The Brain Tumour Charity was formed in 2013 when Brain Tumour UK (which had absorbed the Joseph Foote Trust in 2010) merged with the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, set up in 1996 by Neil and Angela Dickson after their 16-year-old daughter died. It merged with Meningioma UK in 2020. It funds brain tumour research through grants, publishes reports on life with a brain tumour, runs a podcast and support services, and offers a free information pack to people newly diagnosed. Its five-year strategy is called Living Longer and Better. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £15.3 million for the year ending 31 March 2025.
