A charity offering free specialist support to people with a brain tumour and their families: a support line, counselling and support groups.
Brain Tumour Support was founded by Tina Mitchell Skinner after her husband Paul died of a brain tumour in January 2003. It began as Hammer Out, named after Paul's football team, West Ham United, which delivered support work for ten years before taking its present name. It offers a support line, specialist counselling, support groups and guidance for patients, families and carers, and information on diagnosis, treatment and living with a brain tumour. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £0.6 million for the year ending 31 March 2026.
