A US charity for children with DIPG and other diffuse midline gliomas: it funds research and gives families one-to-one help from DIPG nurses.
The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation was formed when two family foundations joined: the ChadTough Foundation, started by the family of Chad Carr, diagnosed with DIPG on 23 September 2014, and the Defeat DIPG Foundation, started by the family of Michael Mosier, diagnosed on 4 September 2014, according to its page about the two boys. Its home page says it has awarded millions of dollars in grants for childhood brain tumour research with an emphasis on DIPG, and that nurses give families one-to-one help understanding the diagnosis and treatment options and finding financial, travel and emotional support. The IRS record (as ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation) places it in Saline, Michigan, with tax exemption issued in November 2015; a separate IRS record for the Michael Mosier Defeat DIPG Foundation in Potomac, Maryland, also exists.
