A UK charity, registered in 2017, that funds chordoma research and gives people with chordoma information and a peer support group.
Chordoma UK says on its home page that Gerald and Susan established it after Susan's chordoma diagnosis in 2007, to raise awareness among patients and clinicians and to raise funds for chordoma research in the UK. It describes chordoma as a very rare primary bone cancer, occurring in about 1 in 800,000 people, most often in the sacrum, the spine or the base of the skull. It runs a private Facebook support group and a newsletter, and names Lord Darzi among its supporters. The Charity Commission register lists it as charity 1173201, registered on 30 May 2017, with objects of funding research into chordoma and its treatment and providing information and support to people with chordoma; its home page gives a registered office in Esher, Surrey, and the register a contact address in Twickenham.
