Overview
The Fondazione Michelangelo is an independent, not-for-profit clinical research organisation in Milan founded to run investigator-led cancer trials, chiefly in breast cancer. Under its president Luca Gianni it has coordinated the NeoSphere, NOAH and neoadjuvant biomarker studies that helped establish pathological complete response as an endpoint for HER2-positive breast cancer, and it collaborates with the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori and hospitals across Italy.
