Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland (IOSI)
The cancer institute of the Italian-speaking Swiss canton of Ticino, led by prostate cancer trialist Silke Gillessen and home to the lymphoma group that co-founded the IELSG.
Overview
The Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland (IOSI) is the oncology arm of the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale, the public hospital group of Ticino, and works with the Università della Svizzera italiana and the Institute of Oncology Research in Bellinzona. Its medical and scientific director, Silke Gillessen, co-led the STAMPEDE platform trial and the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference; its lymphoma unit, under Emanuele Zucca, hosts the International Extranodal Lymphoma Study Group.
