Cancer Epidemiology, subtitled on its journal page as covering cancer determinants, prevention, prognosis and outcomes, publishes original research that adds new information about cancer causes, prevention and control: risk factors for initiation, development and prognosis, early detection and screening, survivorship, descriptive patterns and trends, and methodology. It accepts original articles, systematic and critical reviews, meta-analyses, invited editorials, commentaries and letters. Published by Elsevier six times a year, it continued Cancer Detection and Prevention under the present title in 2009. The ScienceDirect page states that the journal supports open access with an article publishing charge for authors who choose it, alongside subscription content. Indexed in MEDLINE.
